The Age of Aquarius: COVID-19

As we enter more fully into this Age of Aquarius I can’t help but think of the Beatles song lyrics: “I get by with a little help from my friends. “ And it’s so true, that now more than ever we need to get creative to boost our friend’s businesses. I thought of some creative ways to support small businesses during this time that rely on face-to-face services.

In general, I have also been offering ideas to my friends for things they could do to increase sales during this time. I encourage you to do the same where your intuition guides you. It helps everyone think out of the box.

Negativity is a creativity killer and while there is so much out there that we could focus on that is terrible, we need to also lift our friends up and stay as lifted as humanly possible so that more valuable and awesome businesses do not need to fold entirely. We have created a delicate web of connection that can survive if we just think outside of the box.

I realize not everyone has the funds to do this, but even if you have $15-20 dollars here and there and re-invest it into your community it can make a huge difference. And, if you are still getting a big paycheck — by all means, support your local businesses in anyway you can!

Hairdressers & Beauticians

Before you purchase online for hair products, as eventually you will run out, see if your salon has some back stock they are willing to ship you.

Purchase gift cards for future services.

Ask them to provide a tutorial on something hair related and offer to donate to them.

Yoga Teachers

Buy an online class pack.

Purchase something from them if they had an in person shop and have them ship it to you. Most studios have shops attached. Is it finally time to get that new yoga mat of your dreams? You are going to need something to do on your days off to stay in shape!

Energy wellness practitioners

Most energy wellness practitioners know how to do distance healing. Request some extra support to receive a boost during this time.

Check in to see if they are selling any supplements, herbs, crystals or anything else that could support you during this time.

Look for online classes you can take part in or meditations as well.

Obviously, I am here for you too — in many ways and all my services can be done over the phone or Zoom.

Brick & Mortar shops

Order from their online stores — if they are still shipping.

Purchase a gift card from them for a friend to use or for you for later on.

Check to see if they have relevant stock you may need like fancy hand soaps before buying from Amazon.
